Puppy Grooms

  • Puppy Grooms are recommended as early as possible after the second vaccination to get your puppy used to the sounds, feelings, and smells of the whole grooming experience.
  • I recommend 2-3 introductions at 4 weeks intervals before carrying out a full groom. This helps get your puppy used to the process and build confidence
  • Your puppy will receive a bath, blow dry, brush, nail trim, ear clean, trim on paw pads, sanitary areas and trim near eyes, (if needed on certain breeds).
  • Puppy Grooms are available until your dog is 6 months old.

Emmi-pet Ultrasonic Teeth Cleaning

  • The Emmi-pet Ultrasonic Toothbrush is completely vibration and noise free making it suitable for all dogs.
  • Maintaining regular teeth brushing is essential for your dog's oral health and can prevent gum disease.
  • As your dog gets older, their gums can get inflamed which can produce a build up of plaque and bacteria. This bacteria can lead to bad breath, gum disease and even tooth loss.
  • Having your dog’s teeth cleaned regularly will help prevent expensive vet bills in the future and putting your dog under anaesthetic.

I understand circumstances change and sometimes appointment dates cannot be kept to, therefore I operate the following cancellation policy;

All cancellations require a minimum of 48 hours notice.

If your notice is provided between 48 – 24 hours from the appointment there will incur a cancellation charge of 50% of the groom fee, payable to secure your next appointment.

If your notice is provided in 24 hours or less there will incur a cancellation charge of 100% of the groom fee, payable to secure your next appointment.

In accordance with the please note that any dogs presented for grooming with a severely matted coat will be shaved off.

It is against the law to subject dogs to the pain and suffering that brushing out a matted coat can cause. Owners should be aware that de-matting can cause stress and discomfort to the dog, this can often leave the coat damaged and thinning in places - shaving can be quicker, more gentle and less traumatising for the dog.

A severely matted coat can cause many different skin conditions, after removal the follow issues may be exposed;

  • Hotspots
  • Fungal, bacterial, yeast infections
  • Flea, mites, lice
  • Eye and ear infections
  • Severe itching

Shaving may cause irritation to the skin and look red, this is due to the lack of air circulation and dirt trapped under the coat.

Extremely severe skin irritations may require veterinary treatment.

It is normal for dogs to scratch and rub the after a shave down, some dogs may over scratch and skin maybe broken, if in any doubt please contact your veterinary practise.

In less extreme cases where matting is visible and a significant amount of extra time is needed to complete a groom an additional charge will be added onto the groom, this will be discussed before the procedure is carried out.
